Programs for Individuals
For individual high school students, we offer several programs you can apply to. Scholarship funding may be available.
Call for Individuals! Students ages 15-19 should apply to participate in the following individual-enrollment expeditions:
- Leading the Way: Grand Canyon – for Blind, Visually Impaired & Sighted Youth
Over the course of 12 days, students will journey into the heart of Grand Canyon, learning about the importance of natural sounds, participating in meaningful science, learning about career opportunities with the National Park Service, and honing their leadership strengths. At the end of this transformative expedition, students emerge as leaders ready to face personal and global barriers with passion and perseverance and inspired and equipped to be the next generation of ambassadors for the National Park Service.
- Leading the Way: Peru – for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Youth
This unique opportunity brings together students who are deaf and hard of hearing from across the U.S. to travel and meet deaf students in Peru. The expedition consists of students from the Phoenix Day School for the Deaf and is also open to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across the U.S. to apply to join. Two American Sign Language interpreters will accompany the group so this program is open to students who use communication modes from ASL to listening and spoken language…
- Children of the Fallen
This program invites children of fallen service members to carry on the legacy of their loved ones as they experience the transformational power of rafting down the San Juan River, July 21 – 29.
