On days 4-7, you’ll be rafting for four days on the San Juan river. Everything you need for four days will be carried on the boats: Food, personal supplies and clean water (it will be filtered from the river). You don’t need to have previous experience with rafting.

You’ll need to get wet to stay nice and cool in the heat. Knowing how to swim isn’t a requirement because everyone is required to wear a life jacket while on the river.

Each day, you will pack up all of the equipment, load the boats, and raft down a section of the San Juan River. When you arrive at the spot where you will camp that night, everyone will help unload the boats.

You’ll be camping out under the stars. If it rains, there are tents but most likely you will sleep out in the open like this.

This is what the “kitchen” looks like when you’re camping on the river. You will all take turns with different responsibilities including cooking and cleaning.
