Since climbing Mount Whitney with Warriors To Summits in 2014, Adele hasn’t lost her love for hiking and the feeling of being in the wilderness.

“There’s no judgment out there,” she said.

She hopes to raise awareness and money to support our programming.

“I was going to do it anyway, so I figured, ‘Why not do it for a good cause and raise awareness for No Barriers and all they do.’”

Warriors to Summits, No BarriersSam Baron – Bar Mitzvah/Mt. Whitney climb

Sam latched on to No Barriers after his dad discovered an advertisement for Warriors to Summits. That No Barriers relies on outdoor experiences heavily in its programing was also a plus for Sam, whose described as a “mountain goat.”

“I said to my dad somewhere along the line that this is hard, but imagine how it was for those guys,” Sam said. “So I gained so much respect for No Barriers Warriors as an outcome of this hike.”

Centinel Financial Group partnered with No Barriers Warriors for their annual golf tournament on September 11th, 2015. The date is symbolic because on this day 12 veterans reached the summit of Wyoming’s Gannett Peak as part of the Warriors to Summits campaign. Forty advisors and associates attended the golf event to raise awareness and funds for No Barriers Warriors.

“We are proud to have partnered with a reputable organization that is focused on helping veterans and disabled service members,” said Mark Sullivan, Managing Partner at Centinel Financial Group. “Thank you to No Barriers for being accommodating and easy to work with throughout the entire planning process.”

No Barriers Challenge MinneapolisVicki Johnson – Challenge Minneapolis 2015

Vicki is a Wells Fargo employee that learned about No Barriers through the 2014 Warriors to Summits campaign, in partnership with Wells Fargo. Vicki felt so passionate about the mission of No Barriers Warriors that she decided to host a fundraising event in her hometown of Minneapolis last year. Now Vicki is helping No Barriers organize the 2016 Twin Cities Hometown Walk, part of our Walk with the Warriors campaign.

When asked about her commitment Vicki said, “It is an honor to provide opportunities to launch our wounded veterans into purpose-filled lives such as Warriors to Summits. No Barriers’ mission accomplishes what I believe in – Helping people overcome barriers of life, whether it is physical or mental, with perseverance, practice, and patience. Volunteering for No Barriers USA allows me to say THANK YOU to our brave men and women who have served in our armed forces. Their stories of hope and determination inspire me to face obstacles in my own life.”

Walk with the warriorsWalk with the Warriors

Walk with the Warriors (WWTW) is a national campaign created to show the veterans of the No Barriers Warriors program that they are not alone in their journey. Every year we come together to raise money for the veterans with disabilities we serve. This grassroots fundraising effort travels to local communities for a series of Hometown Walks. At our Walks we offer a family-friendly environment that builds camaraderie among an existing community to rally support for our nation’s veterans. WWTW also has a virtual walk – ANYONE can join! While everyone can’t be with our warriors on their No Barriers experience you can show your support by joining or making a donation to the Walk to the Warriors campaign.
